Pastor Vernon Meyer
Pastor Vernon began serving Sun Lakes United Church of Christ in October, 2010. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and went to seminary in southern Indiana. He was ordained a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Phoenix in 1979. He completed his PhD studies at the University of Dayton in Ohio. He left the Catholic Church, and in July 2010 he was approved for "privilege of call" with the Southwestern Council of the United Church of Christ and in September approved by the Sun Lakes United Church of Christ to be the Minister.
